H2FlowTrace took centre stage at the KÖTTER Workshop: Gas Flow Measurement 2026, held on March 11 and 12. The project was presented on both days, allowing attendees to learn about the current status of the research we are conducting at H2FlowTrace.
Hans-Benjamin Böckler, Senior Researcher at German National Metrology Institute, presented the latest developments in our project that is now halfway through. The presentation focused on the main lines of action that the H2FlowTrace consortia is carrying out to enhance hydrogen traceability: the testing campaigns on the small-scale transfer skid, the updates regarding the assembly of the large-scale transfer skid, the expected outcomes to be translated into high-flow testing.
Eric Starke, Senior Expert at Endress + Hauser (E+H), also took advantage to spread even more on the H2FlowTrace updates. This time, the presentation focused on E+H’s role in our project, as they provide measurement and instrumentation expertise to ensure accurate, reliable data for tracking hydrogen flows.

The workshop has not just been an opportunity to showcase H2FlowTrace’s updates, but also to bond with a broad range of experts from the energy sector. The event gathered engineers, technicians, and operators of gas installations who learnt about us, and also with whom we exchanged experience towards a very same goal: making measurement processes safer and sustainably improving the reliability of gas installations.
