H2 Flow Trace

Flow measurement traceability for hydrogen in gas networks. Developing large-scale verified metrological infrastructure to perform traceable pure hydrogen and HENG flow calibrations for gas networks.

The project (23IND05 H2FlowTrace) has received funding from the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed from the European Unionโ€™s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and by the Participating States.

H2FlowTrace Article in World Pipelines Magazine

๐Ÿ“ข World Pipelines featured H2FlowTrace Project in March 2025!

๐Ÿ”The keynote section on hydrogen pipeline transport included an article by CESAME EXADEBIT, H2FlowTrace coordinator, supported by the project team.

The article titled “Verifying the Hydrogen Flow of the Future” from page 19, introduces the infrastructure challenges for hydrogen flow, to delve into one of the main goals of #H2FlowTrace: developing calibration capability for #hydrogenflow in gas networks. In the end, it highlights the future benefits in terms of environmental impact, gas metrology, as well as supporting society and industry in the hashtag #energytransition.

From page 55, Emerson, another project participant, is featured with an article on pipeline integrity management software.
